To A Poem, Lost Once

Fare well, frail, little poem
Of mine. Be gone and try to
Find your place in this
Beautiful, cruel world. I

Can do nothing else for
You. You must go on and find
Those spaces where time is
Infinite, and the broken page
Can no longer hurt. It

Is gone, just as we are suddenly
Gone and like the dust you pick
Up and blow out of your hand. Gone
Like the wind that blows around a corner
We cannot quite see. So

Go my little poem, leave
Me to new thoughts and new
Ways of finding old things.

That is what good with blogging… we can let them fly and maybe stick somewhere else… maybe grow to something new… love the personification.

I like the way you have sent the ‘little poem’ on its way! Hope it will be blown away with the wind and find an appreciative home somewhere…..smiles.

Those last two lines are a gem – your poem arrived here and did great things 😉
